How to Prepare Your Drink
Prepare the Ingredients: Begin by diluting the tamarind paste in a little warm water until it’s fully dissolved. Peel and grate the ginger root.
Simmer: In a medium pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the tamarind mixture and grated ginger. Allow the mixture to simmer gently for about 15 minutes. This will infuse the water with the flavors and beneficial properties of the tamarind and ginger.
Strain: After simmering, remove the pot from the heat. Strain the mixture into a large jug or pitcher, removing the solid pieces of ginger and any undissolved bits of tamarind.
